Is the TVS RTX 300 the Next Big Adventure Bike in India Full Specs

TVS Motor Company is all set to enter the adventure-touring motorcycle market with the much-anticipated TVS RTX 300, which is speculated to launch on 15 October 2025. This new model marks TVS’s first step into the adventure bike segment and is expected to take on strong contenders like the KTM 250 Adventure, Suzuki V-Strom SX and Yezdi Adventure.

Equipped with a brand-new engine, advanced technology and bold styling, the RTX 300 could become a defining product for the company. Read to understand the Complete specifications.

  • The launch of TVS RTX 300 has been highly speculated among bike admirers for the past six months, with the buzz getting stronger in the last two months.
  • TVS first showcased the prototype of the adventure bike concept in the Bharat Auto Expo 2025 earlier this year.
  • The earlier anticipated launch of the TVS RTX 300 was in August 2025, however, reports circulating later revealed that TVS was planning its launch closer to the festive season.
  • The TVS RTX 300 is anticipated to redefine India’s 300cc adventure-tourer category, offering a combination of rugged styling, advanced technology and a refined 299cc liquid-cooled engine. It is expected to appeal to riders looking for both performance and comfort on long rides and daily commutes.
  • Market experts believe that the TVS RTX 300 will directly compete with popular models like the BMW G310 GS and KTM 390 Adventure, potentially offering similar capabilities at a more accessible price point.
  • Although TVS Motor Company has not officially confirmed the launch date, strong speculation has emerged following reports of exclusive media invitations being sent out by the brand. These invites have led to widespread anticipation that the official unveiling could take place very soon.
  • The buzz around the TVS RTX 300 highlights the growing demand for mid-capacity adventure motorcycles in India. With its expected blend of power, design and touring capability, the RTX 300 could mark a major milestone for TVS in this expanding market segment.
  • Though TVS has made no formal announcement about the launch of TVS RTX 300, it has just announced the launch of another bike. The promo shows TVS revealing the date as 4th November 2025. Industry experts believe that this could be the 450cc engine model by TVS.

After months of speculation, TVS has confirmed an October launch through invites to the media for its launch event. However, TVS has not released an official statement about the launch date yet.

  • TVS RTX 300 Price: Industry experts estimate the ex-showroom price at around INR 2.5-2.7 lakh, placing it squarely in India’s competitive 300 cc adventure-touring segment.
  • It is likely to arrive in two variants, offering different combinations of electronics and rider-assistance features to appeal to both enthusiasts and touring riders.

A biking enthusiast had earlier leaked a video of the test run of TVS RTX 300 where multiple observers spotted the almost 300cc engine and several other features in the bike’s test version.

The highlight of the TVS RTX 300 is the newly developed 299 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine designed entirely in-house by TVS.

  • TVS RTX 300 Power and Torquer: The motor produces an estimated 35 PS at 9,000 rpm and 28.5 Nm at 7,000 rpm, ensuring a strong balance between power delivery and long-distance comfort.
  • TVS RTX 300 Gear and Clutch: It is paired with a six-speed gearbox and features an assist with slipper clutch to provide smooth downshifts and better stability under hard braking.
  • Unlike previous TVS models that shared components with BMW, the RTX 300 introduces a fully indigenous powertrain built specifically for adventure-touring needs.

Reports also hint at ride-by-wire technology and multiple riding modes, enhancing throttle control and adaptability across different road conditions.

The RTX 300 is expected to use a steel trellis frame with a bolt-on rear subframe for durability and easier maintenance.

  • The front will likely feature upside-down (USD) forks, while the rear will employ a monoshock absorber with preload adjustment that is ideal for tackling both city roads and unpaved trails.
  • To ensure stability and traction, TVS has opted for 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels fitted with dual-purpose tyres.
  • Stopping power comes from front and rear disc brakes, supported by a dual-channel ABS system.
  • For light off-roading, the rear ABS is expected to be switchable, offering riders more control on slippery surfaces.

Reports suggest that this is not a full-throttle off-roader, instead, TVS has sought to deliver a midpoint with both off-roading and adventure-tourer capabilities. Though industry experts opine the bike leans more towards the adventure-tourer category.

The TVS RTX 300 features a muscular adventure-style design that seems like a combination of aggression with practicality.

  • Spy shots reveal a tall windscreen, semi-fairing and twin-LED headlamps that give the bike a distinctive appearance.
  • Sculpted fuel tank and split seats are an effort to ensure comfort for long rides, while the upright riding posture and wide handlebar are meant for relaxed ergonomics suited for touring.
  • Additional features such as a rear luggage rack, engine bash plate and hand guards point more towards its touring intent.

The overall design language reflects a fusion of sportiness and adventure capability – an aesthetic TVS has perfected through its Apache lineage.

TVS has built a reputation for introducing advanced electronics in its motorcycles and the RTX 300 is expected to uphold that tradition.

The feature list may include:

  • All-LED lighting system
  • 5-inch TFT digital console with smartphone connectivity
  • Turn-by-turn navigation and call or message alerts
  • Multiple ride modes for varying conditions
  • Traction control system with customisable levels
  • Cruise control for effortless highway cruising
  • Switchable rear ABS for off-road adaptability

Speculation also points to the possibility of a bi-directional quickshifter, although this is yet to be confirmed.

On arrival, the TVS RTX 300 will occupy a sweet spot between entry-level and mid-range adventure bikes. With its 35 PS power output, it promises to outperform most 250 cc competitors while remaining more accessible than the larger 400 cc models. The key here would be its price. If it is priced as speculated, the TVS RTX 300 will become a strong, affordable option offering features competing with top end rivals.

Its key rivals include the KTM 250 Adventure, Yezdi Adventure and Suzuki V-Strom SX. The RTX 300’s mix of technology, comfort and manageable power could appeal to riders seeking a dependable all-rounder capable of both daily commutes and weekend escapes.

While some purists may still prefer spoke-wheel setups for serious off-roading, the RTX 300’s alloy-wheel configuration highlights TVS’s focus on real-world versatility and touring reliability.

Comparative studies such as TVS RTX 300 vs KTM 390 or TVS RTX 300 vs Xpulse 210 would have been great, but due to lack of a complete reveal, it is beyond the scope of this article.

One of the biggest challenges for TVS is its after sales service. Online reviews echo discontent among buyers and if not addressed on time, it could catapult into a bigger sore point, especially for specialised bikes such as the RTX 300.

Some important details remain under wraps, including the fuel tank capacity, kerb weight, suspension travel and official mileage figures. TVS is also expected to offer a range of optional touring accessories, such as panniers, crash guards and navigation mounts to make the bike fully customisable for long-distance travel.

Though TVS RTX 300 stands as a symbol of modern engineering and adventure, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj teaches such innovations should serve our needs and not control our lives. Many people become deeply attached to material objects like bikes, believing they bring lasting happiness. But true peace, as explained by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, comes only through true worship (Sat-Bhakti) of Supreme God Kabir.

The simple core task of a human life is to adopt this True Worship from a Tatvdarshi Sant. By cutting off excess materialism from our lives, we can still use life’s comforts and technological advances without overdoing them, and while remembering the real goal of human birth – spiritual awakening and liberation.
