How Vacancies Increased from 5,464 to 7,948

The original notification released on 26 June 2025 had announced only 5,464 vacancies. After receiving fresh manpower requisitions from various central ministries, departments, statutory bodies, attached and subordinate offices, SSC collected additional requirements and finalised the revised figure of 7,948 on 27 November 2025. The Commission has clearly stated that these numbers remain tentative and can be updated before the final result stage.

Full Eligibility Criteria for SSC MTS Havaldar 2025

  • Citizenship: Must be Indian
  • Educational Qualification: Matriculation (Class 10) pass or equivalent from a recognised board (certificate must be obtained on or before 01 August 2025)
  • Age Limit (as on 01 August 2025): 18–25 years or 18–27 years depending on the post
  • Application Fee: ₹100 (exempted for women, SC/ST, PwBD, and Ex-servicemen)
  • Application Period: 26 June – 24 July 2025 (closed)

  • Session-I (90 minutes, Qualifying):
    Numerical & Mathematical Ability – 20 questions × 3 = 60 marks
    Reasoning Ability & Problem Solving – 20 questions × 3 = 60 marks
  • Session-II (45 minutes, Merit-deciding):
    General Awareness – 25 questions × 3 = 75 marks
    English Language & Comprehension – 25 questions × 3 = 75 marks
  • Negative Marking: 1 mark deduction for each wrong answer only in Session-II
