Vivo has officially launched the Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite in India, expanding its popular V-series lineup in the mid-premium segment. The new smartphones succeed the Vivo V60 series and bring several notable upgrades, including Snapdragon chipsets, ZEISS-tuned triple cameras, a large 6,500mAh battery, and long-term software support. 

With slim bezels, IP68/IP69 durability, and up to 90W fast charging, the V70 series aims to strengthen Vivo’s position against rivals such as the Google Pixel 10a and other performance-focused competitors. Both devices will go on sale starting February 26 via Flipkart and Vivo’s official website.

Vivo V70 & V70 Elite Price in India and Availability

The Vivo V70 Elite is priced at ₹51,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model. The 12GB + 256GB variant costs ₹56,999, while the 12GB + 512GB version is available at ₹61,999.

The Vivo V70 starts at ₹45,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model and ₹49,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant. A 12GB + 512GB version is also priced at ₹54,999.

Both devices will be available from February 26 through Flipkart and Vivo’s official online store. Buyers can avail up to 10 percent cashback using SBI, HDFC Bank, and Yes Bank cards.

The Vivo V70 Elite is offered in Authentic Black, Passion Red and Sand Beige. The standard Vivo V70 comes in Lemon Yellow and Passion Red.

Display and Design: Slim Bezels, Premium Finish and Bright AMOLED Panel

Both smartphones feature a 6.59-inch VM9 AMOLED display with 1,260 × 2,750 resolution, 459 ppi pixel density, and a 120Hz refresh rate. Vivo claims the bezels measure just 1.25mm, making them among the slimmest in the segment.

The display supports up to 5,000 nits peak brightness, while high brightness mode is capped at 1,800 nits. HDR10 and HDR10+ support enhance content consumption on streaming platforms.

The devices measure 157.52 × 74.33 × 7.59mm and weigh approximately 194g. Both feature a flat-edge design with a square camera module, ZEISS branding and Aura Light. The series also carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.

Performance: Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 vs Snapdragon 7 Gen 4

The key distinction between the two models lies in the chipset.

The Vivo V70 Elite is powered by the 4nm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset clocked up to 3GHz, paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.1 storage.

The Vivo V70 runs on the 4nm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC clocked up to 2.8GHz, with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.1 storage.

Benchmark results for the Elite include:

• Geekbench: 1,946 (single-core) and 4,882 (multi-core)

During gaming sessions, the Elite supported up to 120FPS on Call of Duty Mobile at medium graphics settings. In thermal tests, temperature rose by 9.3°C after 30 minutes of gaming. In the Burnout CPU Throttle test, it maintained 51.7 percent of peak performance.

ZEISS Camera Setup: Triple 50MP System with AI Modes

Both models feature ZEISS-tuned triple rear cameras:

On the front, both smartphones include a 50MP (f/2.0) selfie camera.

The ultrawide sensor delivers images close to the quality of the primary sensor in daylight conditions. Portrait mode includes five ZEISS-backed multifocal options and switches between main and telephoto lenses accordingly.

AI Visual modes include Floral Blessings and Holi filters, with the Holi filter available between February 19 and March 15, 2026. These AI filters require an active internet connection and may remove background subjects during processing.

The Aura Light also works as a notification light and illuminates during incoming calls when the device is placed face-down.

Battery and Charging: 6,500mAh with 90W Fast Charging

Both smartphones are powered by a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery with 90W wired fast charging. The bundled charger takes the phone from 20 percent to 100 percent in approximately 43 minutes.

The Vivo V70 series runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. Vivo promises four major OS upgrades and six years of security updates.

Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS and NavIC. The devices also feature a USB Type-C 2.0 port.

The Vivo V70 Elite includes an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, e-compass, proximity sensor, colour temperature sensor, IR blaster and a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

The Vivo V70 does not include the IR blaster but includes a gyroscope.

Positioning in the Competitive Mid-Premium Segment

The Vivo V70 is positioned as a direct rival to the Google Pixel 10a. The Elite model competes with devices such as the OnePlus 13s, OnePlus 15R, iQOO 15R, Vivo X200 FE and X200T.
